FamFest celebrates the inseparable ties between basketball and music, honoring their heritage and showcasing their future.

Taking place on Saturday 3rd September 2011 at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (1pm), a team of Legends will come face to face with the top U21 basketball players in the UK.

The Legends are led by Sky Sports Presenter Kevin Cadle who remains in the Guiness Book of Records to this day as coaching the most successful team in British basketball history on his way to a record 300 Career League Victories and 27 major trophies. He'll lead a team of former England and Great Britain Internationals that include Commonwealth Bronze Medalists Peter Scantlebury MBE, Steve Bucknall, Michael Martin, Julius Joseph and Ronnie Baker. Their challengers will be hand picked by the Luol Deng Foundation, the charitable foundation for NBA superstar Luol Deng. 

Crystal Palace National Sports Centre is one of the UK's most prestigious basketball arenas hosting teams as iconic as the Los Angeles Lakers. 

On court action is complimented by live music and dance as well as competitions and crowd participation. Fresh off the plane from the ultimate music festival in the Czech Republic, Family First Soundsystem, a 4-man DJ group, will be be behind the decks and also supporting will be two live music acts with acoustic performances.

Doors open at 12:30pm, game starts promptly at 2pm.
